This report describes in detail the uncertainty budget for the alanine/ESR dosimetry system, taking into account all components known at the time of writing. The appendix briefly describes the software components that had to be modified or rewritten. Only where substantial changes with respect to the methods and the software described in PTB-DOS-53 were made, a detailed description is supplied. The authors hope that the uncertainty budget may serve as a template for the reader's own work.
